110kV Transmission Line Divača – Pivka – Ilirska Bistrica

110kV Transmission Line Divača – Pivka – Ilirska Bistrica

PROJECT NAME: Rehabilitation of the 110kV Transmission Line Divača – Pivka – Ilirska Bistrica

INVESTOR: Elektro Slovenija d.o.o.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The rehabilitation of one of the oldest transmission lines, both in terms of wear and tear and the modernization of the transmission system, aims to achieve operational reliability in electricity transmission through the integration of newly installed facilities in associated transformer stations. The existing single-system transmission line was built just before World War II (in 1939) as part of the construction of the Dolbar – Sežana – Matulji transmission connection in the Republic of Croatia. The 110kV Divača – Pivka – Ilirska Bistrica transmission line is the last section of this transmission connection in the Republic of Slovenia that has not yet been renovated. The reconstruction involves the removal of the entire section of the 110kV Divača – Pivka – Ilirska Bistrica transmission line and the construction of a new 2 x 110kV Divača – Pivka – Ilirska Bistrica transmission line. The route of the existing transmission line will be preserved, and within this corridor, the construction of the new double-system transmission line is planned.
