The construction of the transmission line was won running up against a few renown international companies according to the procedures of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) which is also financing the project.

The existing transformation substation 330/110/35 kV Bar is located in the town of Shyrokoe, some 5 km east to the city of Bar, Vinnitskaya region, central Ukraine.
The expected completion date is 16 months from the signing of the contract.

This is Dalekovod’s second engagement in Ukraine, after signing on 23rd November 2010 a contract for the construction of 33kV Dniester – Bar overhead transmission line. The overhead transmission line in question will be switched on to the 330 kV Bar transformer substation which will then provide electricity for a greater area of central Ukraine.
